Thanks to the nearly 40 of you who joined us in Renton Thursday for the 2012 BLS City Conference.

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you. In some cases, it had been years since the last visit. In a few casees, we were meeting for the first time. We simply can't let as much time pass before we do that again.

Here’s an electronic copy of the Governor’s message thanking you for your efforts to support business in our state.

Just two hours remain to register for the 2012 BLS City Conference.

We have more than 30 guests confirmed with room for just a few more.

  IMPORTANT LUNCH INFORMATION

You may order lunch for delivery if you email by 5 pm today (Tuesday).
Select from list below. Gretchen’s Shoebox delivers at 11:30 am Thursday.

Email your orders to dorblspartner@dor.wa.gov. Put “Conference Lunch” in the subject line.

Bring a personal check for payment Thursday. No cash. No credit cards.

Sandwiches - $13 plus tax

With Tim's Cascade potato chips, fresh fruit cup, chocolate chip cookie, Athena bottled water & utensils.


1) California Club Box Lunch

Oven-roasted chicken breast, bacon, avocado, bleu cheese scallion spread, lettuce & tomato on Schwartz Brothers Bakery sourdough bread.

2) Turkey Havarti Box Lunch

Oven-roasted turkey breast, Havarti, cucumbers, lettuce & tomato on Schwartz Brothers Bakery 100% Honey Whole Wheat. Served with mayonnaise & mustard on the side.

3) Focaccia Margherita Box Lunch- VEGETARIAN

Fresh mozzarella, slow-roasted tomatoes, whole-leaf basil, with arugula & creamy pesto spread on our own Schwartz Brothers Bakery freshly baked focaccia bread.

Gluten Free Salads - $14 plus tax

Includes a carrot packet, a fruit cup, a low-fat yogurt cup, and a bottle of water

BLS Credit Card Fee Payments

Some cities' BLS payments for the credit card processing fees are being misdirected, which may cause delays in credits to their accounts. These payments are the 2.5% of the city business license fees that businesses pay by credit card.

Help us correctly track your payments and apply credits. Be sure to remit payments to:

                                  Revenue Accounting
                                  PO Box 47464
                                  Olympia WA 98504-7464

Make checks payable to:

                                  Department of Revenue

One last thing: Be sure to include a copy of the billing invoice or the top tear-off section with the check. That  helps ensure that your billing payments are applied correctly.
