Great news. The Department of Revenue is taking its next major
step toward launching a complete tax and license system replacement.
The Request
for Proposal was posted on February 7. Responses are due in May, which will be
followed by system demonstrations in the summer. After careful review and
negotiation, Revenue will award the contract to a technology company by the end
of the year.
Replacing the current system will stabilize operations, reduce
maintenance and risks, and add efficiencies. Agency and city partners will
benefit directly as licensing and regulatory enhancements can be more easily
customized.

completed.
