April 2017 Partner Update

 Hail to the (new) Chief!

Patti Wilson
Veteran Revenue manager Patti Wilson now leads your BLS Partnership Services Team. Many of you know Patti from her tenure as a Local Government Liaison and Customer Service Advocate for the Department among other titles held in her 28 years of public service. Her temporary assignment to Business Licensing ends late this year. Outgoing team supervisor Brandi Greene has moved to the BLS Testing Team to support improvements to the ATLAS system.

Please join us in welcoming Patti to our team!

Denise Ceja

Greetings, Denise and Kim!

The Partnership Services Team is adding new experts to serve you. Both are seasoned members of the BLS Specialty Team who start their new jobs on April 17.

Denise Ceja moves to the Partnership team after working for the past two years as the BLS Specialty Unit Supervisor. She joined BLS in May 2014 and has more than 10 years of customer service experience. Her attention to detail and willingness to take on challenges has earned her the respect of her peers and customers.
Kim Morgan

Kim Morgan has been working in customer service for nine years. After starting with BLS in February 2016, managers named her as a team lead with the Specialty unit last fall. She has a quick wit, is a fast learner, and an ATLAS expert ready to assist city and state agency staff.

Register for Local Government meetings in June

The meeting provides an opportunity for all local governments to share information, connect with the department staff and peers, and discuss future enhancements to local tax and BLS partnership administration and communication. The next meetings will be in Tumwater and Moses Lake. Check out http://dor.wa.gov/localgovernment to register.

Legal Name Change report now available by program

More is better when it comes to reports available via ATLAS Partner Portal. The Legal Name Change report is available to create ad hoc lists by date range. The report now allows a breakdown for each program or division at state agencies that partner with BLS. The narrower focus helps collect precise data and runs reports faster.

The Licensee file renamed and streamlined

The city Licensee report provides an instant report of all businesses with your local endorsement. The file contains the same fields in the same order as previous versions of the reports. We will rename it “City Licensee” instead of Partner Licensee to distinguish it from the Program Licensee report that tallies endorsements for state agency programs and has added fields.
