City of Othello is newest BLS member

BLS is proud to add the city of Othello as a partner in the state's premier combined licensing service today.

The Grant County city is now connected with Moses Lake, Connell, and other regional neighbors that link state and local licensing to streamline service for their business community.

Othello is in Grant County, which grows more potatoes than any other county on the planet. It’s also home to a McCain Foods production facility. McCain is the world’s largest maker of frozen french fries. With Othello’s BLS partnership, the food producer can sync up its licenses with the state Department of Agriculture and the city into one annual renewal process with one payment.

More than 100 cities now work with BLS. Other cities including Ritzville are set to join in next year. A complete list of cities is posted at bls.dor.wa.gov.
