The Columbia Basin of Eastern Washington produces some of the best fruits and vegetables in the world. And, today, getting that produce to market is even easier.
The city of Moses Lake in Grant County today is the newest local partner of the state Business Licensing Service. Moses Lake is the biggest city in the biggest potato-producing county in the nation. City industry is also bolstered by the aerospace, manufacturing, and outdoors tourism business sectors. The 18-mile long lake -- the city's namesake -- boasts 120 miles of shoreline to encourage fishing and water sports for thousands of visitors annually.
Moses Lake businesses can now use the combined licensing service that connects 96 city business license programs with state agency registrations via the same online portal. Joining the service in the near future are the regional cities of Airway Heights, Cheney, and Ritzville.
