With a name like Grandview, it has to be good!

Today a city that is home to a Smucker's manufacturing plant is the newest BLS partner city -- Grandview!

Smucker's started using the "With a name like Smucker's, it has to be good" tagline in 1962. Smucker's was founded in 1897, just a short while before Grandview was founded in 1906.

Hundreds of Grandview workers support the local industry that revolves around the Yakima Valley's vineyards and orchards. More than one-third of the state's wine grapes grow in the valley. Welch's also has a juice processing plant in Grandview.

The town is aptly named for its clear sightlines to Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Rattlesnake Hills, and Horse Heaven Hills. It is the third city in the valley to join BLS in the past two weeks. Four more valley cities will join BLS in the next six months, too.

Welcome, Grandview. We think you'll like the new horizon.
