Flavored vapor product ban does not impact licensing

Partners

Effective Thursday, October 10, 2019, the State Board of Health imposed a ban on all flavored vapor products for 120 days. This ban does not impact state or local licensing.

Businesses with flavored vapor products in inventory may refer to the Department of Revenue’s information posted at https://dor.wa.gov/vapor.

Sales of non-banned vapor products will still occur. All the existing and new reporting and taxation requirements remain for those sales.

The ban does not prohibit possession of flavored vapor products by consumers.

Destroying flavored vapor products

The state Liquor and Cannabis Board is consulting with affected state agencies and will post information on its website with options for returning or destroying product.

The Department of Ecology has a list of approved vendors for destroying flavored vapor products.
