BLS Welcomes Everson and Whatcom County Communities

Bald eagles nest in the Nooksack Valley near Everson.

The city of Everson on the Nooksack River is the first of a trio of Whatcom County communities to join BLS in 2020.

Everson, population 3000, is home to Nooksack Valley High in the fertile valley that extends from the North Cascade peaks of Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker west toward Bellingham Bay.

In the coming months, neighbor communities of Ferndale and Lynden will join the partnership that has been linked to Bellingham and Blaine for many years.

Nooksack Falls is a popular stop east of Everson
and just off the Mount Baker Highway.
