October 2020 BLS Partner Update

ATLAS & My DOR upgrades complete

The Department of Revenue launched a significant upgrade to ATLAS and My DOR in September. The improved system gives partners a better user experience and with a mobile-friendly look and feel for businesses managing accounts. It was the first major upgrade since Revenue launched the integrated system in 2018 to combine tax and licensing in a convenient online system with a single secure login for users.

BLS partners rate training a success

More than 100 BLS city and agency partners took part in training sessions prior to the ATLAS system upgrade. The optional training helped staff walk through the new features such as enhanced search functionality and updated account information screens. More than 90 percent of training participants rated the training good or excellent.

Relief from penalties extended to Nov. 9

Business Licensing Service (BLS) is still waiving late filing penalties under the extension of the governor's Proclamation 20-20 through November 9, 2020. BLS will not automatically terminate expired license endorsements and is suspending the automated process of closing delinquent license endorsements through this month. The Department of Revenue maintains updated business relief information at dor.wa.gov/taxrelief.
