Four cities join BLS in March 

The city of Redmond is one of four cities to join the BLS partnership in March. The city of nearly 70,000 residents connected its local licensing to the system used by more than 160 cities across The Evergreen State. “Creating efficiencies for our businesses is a priority,” said Redmond Mayor Angela Birney.

In Central Washington, Mabton in Yakima County and Mattawa in Grant County added the popular licensing service that's already familiar to businesses working in dozens of neighboring cities.

Bingen is in the stunning Columbia Gorge

“Whenever you can streamline the process, write one check, and remove extra steps, that’s one less thing for us employers to worry about,” said Michael Mayer, owner of Blue Sky Market in Mabton.

Another city to join in March is the small riverfront community of Bingen, a neighbor to BLS partner White Salmon that sits just across the Columbia Gorge from Hood River, Oregon. Welcome to all our new BLS city partners.

Washington's annual tax filing deadline is April 15

Washington state’s filing date for annual tax reporters is April 15. The date is updated from past deadlines. Washington’s deadlines are not affected by changes to the IRS’s federal income filing deadlines. More information is at https://dor.wa.gov.
