My DOR security changes start next week

Partners

A new Multi-Factor Authentication security feature will be added to the My DOR login on Tuesday, September 14.

Users must verify their identity with more than just a username and password to provide an extra layer of protection. More details are at https://dor.wa.gov/MFA

What you need to do

Your mobile number and email address in your Secure Access Washington (SAW) profile must be current. To update and verify:

  • Log in to My DOR at dor.wa.gov.
  • On the My DOR Services page, click Get Started.
  • On the Account Summary page, click the Manage My Profile link in the top right corner.
  • On the Manage My Profile page, click the Profile tab.
  • Click the Use your SAW profile link to update your name and email address.

How does MFA work?

When you log in to your My DOR account, you will complete the multi-factor authentication process. An authentication code will be sent to the verified email address or mobile phone number in your account. You submit the code to securely proceed to your account.
