Auburn, other cities set to join BLS this summer
The suburban city of Auburn joins BLS on September 15 as the final local licensing partner in both King and Pierce counties. Auburn has thousands of thriving businesses as one Washington’s top 15 cities by population. It has been home to late NASA astronaut Dick Scobee and rapper Sir Mix-a-Lot. Today it is home to 80,000 residents, most of whom live in King County.
Other summer 2022 city partners are Nespelem (July 28), Mossyrock (August 11), and Pateros (August 25). Combined licensing administrative support is offered to local governments as a free service of the Department of Revenue.

Time to plan for 2023
Every summer, BLS Partnership Services requests that agency and city partners review their processes for any changes.
For municipal partners, BLS cannot make changes to fees or requirements without at least 75-days advance notice per RCW 35.90.070. If your city or town plans a change for 2023, submit a Partner Change Request form soon.
