Register for the Local Government Partnership Meeting

Revenue’s annual Local Government Partnership meeting is on Tuesday, July 23.

The meeting is open to those working in local governments and related public-sector stakeholders. CPE credits will be available for those who qualify. Each year, staff working in finance, community development, and compliance from dozens of cities, towns, and counties join the virtual event.
Register for your opportunity to share information and connect with agency staff and local government peers. Revenue staff will lead presentations on the state economic forecast, new laws, and public benefits available to businesses and individuals in your community. We will be joined by experts from the Association of Washington Cities and MRSC.

Revenue’s tax and licensing system will be upgraded in January

Revenue’s ATLAS system is getting a version upgrade called Core 21. New features will be available starting January 18, 2025. 

Core21 includes advancements in security, new functionality, and updated features. Most importantly, it stays current with the latest technology. 

Confidential or sensitive data in ATLAS may be tokenized with Core21. Tokenization is a way of safeguarding confidential or sensitive data in ATLAS. Sensitive information will be replaced with a “token,” which is displayed as a string of random numbers and letters.

Odessa joins licensing partnership

The eastern Washington town of Odessa is next in line to add a local license to Revenue’s signature service.
On August 8, Odessa will become local partner number 221. The town is home to 100 active businesses. 
The city of Okanogan in north Central Washington will be the next BLS partner with its start date in spring 2025.
Revenue’s combined licensing administration system is free to counties, cities, and towns.

The town of Odessa will soon offer streamlined licensing service linked to the same portal used for hundreds of state and local business licenses in Washington state.




Credit card processing fee change

The credit card processing fee charged for transactions made in My DOR increased from 2.69% to 3.25% as of July 1.
The fee is charged by the third-party vendor, ACI, that processes credit and debit card transactions for My DOR.

Customers using My DOR for license applications and renewals can pay from their checking account without an added bank card processing fee.
