The town of Waterville is the newest partner of the state Business Licensing Service.
The Douglas County community that is north of Wenatchee and east of Chelan was founded the same year as the state of Washington in 1889. It has about dozens of local businesses that can now link state and local licenses in a combined renewal process.
Waterville will soon be joined in BLS partnership by regional neighbors Chelan, Coulee Dam, Entiat, Grand Coulee, and Omak.
