King of Agriculture: Yakima grows regional commerce with combined licensing

The city of Yakima is home to nearly 100,000 residents and connects dozens
of agriculture-dependent communities in south-central Washington state.
The king of national hops production, a vital viticultural valley, and an economic powerhouse for fresh produce – the city of Yakima is all of these.

Today, Yakima is also the newest member of the state Business Licensing Service.

Yakima is the 11th largest city in Washington state and home to nearly 100,000 people. It's the largest city in south-central Washington and a hub of many communities along Interstate 82 that runs through the entire Yakima Yalley.

More than 30 grape varieties are grown in the
Yakima Valley's 45 square miles of vineyards.
The Yakima Valley is the 12th largest agricultural production area in the country with dozens of commodity crops starting their journey to market from regional fields, orchards, and vineyards.

With the BLS combined licensing solution now working across Yakima Valley communities, thousands of businesses are now better connected with the commerce that powers the region's staple and specialty crops that sustain millions of Americans.

Welcome, city of Yakima!
