More local partnerships blossom this spring

BLS partners continue to grow on both sides of the Cascades this spring.

The partnership recently welcomed its 200th partner and is preparing to complete its work linking all eligible partners to signature service.

Next up, the city of Bothell will join on April 17. The city straddles the King and Snohomish county
line at the top of Lake Washington. The fast-growing suburb of 50,000 residents is home to thousands of thriving businesses. The city licensing process is now linked to the same service that serves neighbors Kenmore, Woodinville, and Mill Creek to expedite license registration and renewal for those working in more than one city.

Also joining in April is the town of Sprague in Lincoln County. The town is on the shore of Lake Sprague about 40 miles west of Spokane. Since January of 2018, BLS has added nearly 130 local partners.

Partnership meeting shines a light on Revenue service

Since 2007, the Department of Revenue’s Local Government Partnership Committee has worked to enhance cooperation between the Department and local government.

The annual Local Government Partnership meeting is the forum for the Department to spotlight activities and services that serve local government customer needs. Meetings are held in late spring or early summer and include information on tax and policy issues arising from legislation.

Meetings are open to those working in local governments and related public-sector stakeholders. Get meeting registration information from the local government partnership notification service. Join the “Local Government” list under the Agency Partners link.
